Mother's Day Relaxing Pink

Mother's Day is coming up - and we have a Market Day the week before! What a great gift to a mother, survivor, or anyone needing a moment to themselves. These SUPER CHEAP AND EASY bath salts will hopefully be a big hit at market day.

All I did was take 2 cups of Epsom Salts
10 drops soap coloring (at Michaels)
10 drops of your favorite essential oil or soap sent (Michaels has a TON of scents)
Mix it up in a sandwich bag and you are done!

I selected a variety of containers which we will sell for different price levels.
I'm thinking the white lunch bags will be $4
Gladware containers will be $5
Chinese Take out type container and Flower Pail $8

We are going to dump the Epsom Salts in a big bucket and as kids, dads, sisters... anyone comes up they can basically pick their color, fragrance and container and make a custom gift for whoever!!

Now for the ACTUAL cost involved...
Lunch bag setup: lunch bag, sandwich bag, 2 cups salts, scent, color: 70cents
Gladware setup: gladware, 2cups salts, scent, color: 89cents
Take Out & Flower Pail setup: Pail, 2cups salts, scent, color: $1.67

I got the gladware 4/$1 at the dollar store - they had all different lid colors.... orange, blue, purple & pink. The chinese food containers were $1 each but had a TON of colors and patterns at the dollar store and at Michaels. They are plastic - so they are reusable. The pails were $1 each at the dollar store and I have 4 different patterns in different colors... I just photographed the pink one. They are all adorable!!

Anyway - I'll let you know how they sell at market day!!

Water water everwhere and not a drop to Pink....

That was a lame title - I apologize. This may not be the greatest pink thing ever - but it's pink, and it's part of my training, so HERE'S TO PINK WATERBOTTLES.

I picked up this bad-boy at Michaels for a cool $1.39 - can we say BARGAIN???

Well - that's all I have to say about the water bottle,.. hmmm how can I fill space?
Oh! We had our "Taste of Newnan" tonight where local restaurants and other folks come and sell food for "tokens". Each token is $1 and you can set your token level for whatever food items you sell. We sold nachos, boiled peanuts, cherry pound cake, brownies, and our chocolate suckers. Overall we did pretty good - we sold about $500 worth of stuff. Now some of that has to be reimbursed for the food we purchased, and some goes to the Taste of Newnan, but overall not too shabby!

While trying to get everyone's attention to come buy our stuff - I came up with a few "cheers" if you will.... May as well list them here right?

"Save your Teets, Buy our Sweets"
"Save the Chachos, Buy our Nachos"
"Cows for a Cure"
"Show us your Tips" (We were trying to get Cow Tips haha - get it? Cow Tips?)
"Buy our Pounds for the Mounds" (referring to the pound cake)

Now we are contemplating having a booth at a motorcycle and car show - I'll have to come up with something super raunchy to holler at the men hahahahaha

Piper's Pink!

Even my dog Piper has jumped on the Pink bandwagon! Ok - well maybe it's a little forced upon her - but she doest seem to mind too much ;)

We have recently had a little "problem" with Piper getting out and running wild in the streets - so since we are BANNED from having a chain link fence - and dont want to block our view of the woods - we opted for an invisible fence for Piper. So far she's doing GREAT with the training - and I was THRILLED to find out that they have the shock collars (or "correction collars" I think is the PC term) in PINK!!

I can't keep Piper still enough to take a pic of her in the collar, so here it is by itself.

Sounds Like Pink

Today's Pink thing is my new Sansa MP3 player! It's a 1GB MP3 player that will be perfect for training etc. Now I just need to download some tunes for it!
I got it for $9.99 off www.woot.com (gosh I love that site!) and just had to buy it because... well it's pink!! I liked it because it was very small and light weight.

Sansa has a lot of other cool mp3 players in pink... here is a video mp3 player with 4gb storage in pink (but it's 10 times the price of mine! I'm such a bargain shopper!!).

Anyone else have a pink mp3 player??? Post the link in the comments!

If it's Pink - I'll Post!!

In December when I had to buy my 3RD SET of "fat clothes" I realized maybe it was time to start working out again... gotta get back down to wedding weight. My sister was already dieting, so I figured may as well do it as a team effort.

Anyway - skip forward 4 months and I'm down 23lbs (give or take on any given day) - BELOW my wedding weight by just a few pounds... I'm back down to DATING WEIGHT!!

So... You are probably wondering what this has to do with Pink Stuff... here goes.

Along my dieting, exercising and calorie counting journey - I've come across some fantastic things that just so happen to be pink - and I really want to get my blog kickin in to high gear - so I figured I'd post some of my favorite Pink Things in relation to Dieting & Exercise!!! Now - it's not to say that I may have a post here and there about some non-diet things, but well - I think you get the idea.

AND NOW FOR MY FIRST FAVORITE PINK ITEM!!!!

No-Pudge Brownies
These delicious little morsels of goodness appeared under a beam of light shining down from heaven. Take your pick from Original, Cappuccino, Mint or Raspberry - and fill your belly with guilt free chocolate! At only 120 calories a pop and 2 weight watchers points, these brownies do not fall short on flavor. I tried the cappuccino first and was pleasantly surprised and how brownie-like they were!! All you do is mix the brownie mix with non-fat vanilla yogurt (I used Publix brand) and bake - Voila! A pan full of brownies perfect for the dieter!!

Now - you may be thinking.. How do you not eat the whole pan?? Let me tell you... I was thinking the same thing. Lindsay (creator of the no-pudge brownies) was all over that! She gives a recipe to mix... get this... ONE BROWNIE AT A TIME!!! 2 Tbsp of mix and 1 Tbsp of no-fat vanilla yogurt, mix in a coffee mug, pop in the microwave for 1 minute and INSTANT BROWNIE IN A SINGLE SERVING!!!

They were so good I just HAD to share, and not to mention - the box of "original" flavor is PINK!

Try them - and if you like them, send them an email using their website! They actually write back!!! Check it out: http://www.nopudge.com

Blame it on the Rain...

Well, Market Day was a no-go this morning because of the rain. It's an outdoor event - so rain put a damper on things (hahahaha no put intended but funny nonetheless)

Snapped a quick pic of the money jar to collect donations.
Guess we will have to wait till next month for market day - oh well.

Buttons & Chocolate

So - I know I've been MIA for a while - super busy with work and hosting a baby shower...

But TOMORROW IS MARKET DAY!!
We hope to sell ALL of our suckers - and I even made some little pink ribbon chocolates to supplement our cow sucker supply. They were kinda a pain to make - so I tried an easier route. I took the pink melting chocolates, melted them, poured them on a pan, sprinkled pink sprinkles on top and then broke them into little pieces. They actually turned out REALLY CUTE!!

I also snapped some pictures of our ADORABLE little buttons that I bought from another breast cancer walker named Kate. Her email address is KMF1010@aol.com if you want to order some for your group. They are only $20 for 100 (plus shipping) and she makes them custom for you!! We plan to sell them at market day with our other goodies!

Wish us luck!!!
